Espana part two - road tripping & other things

//On our way towards Alcoy we headed to see the views over these hills. There was so much of natural plants of olives, and elsewhere lots of farms growing grapes, lemons and oranges, to name a few. But olives was definitely the most popular thing. These sightseeing hills were particularly popular around motorists - they were driving like crazy people up there. But the surroundings were ideal, so I get why :) I liked the slightly abandoned and rough scenery of these pictures beneath, like from a scary movie, haha. Glad we went there during daylight hours... :) This place was great for photography, too. A fashion photo shoot for example would be quite perfect up there.

//A nice thing in Spain is that the more you go away from the coast, the more you also see the 'real Spain' and such as now in fall even the yellow trees.

Alcoin kaupunki. Tosi kiva 'paikallinen' viihtyisä pieni kaupunki (no, Espanjan mittakaavassa kenties pienikokoinen mutta asukkaita siellä on lähemmä 60,000).

//Alcoy. Such a cozy 'little' local town (although with around 60,000 inhabitants) but in Spanish city propositions quite small anyway, but the atmosphere there was nice. Reminded me a bit of Paris actually, the small streets with cosy old restaurants, bars and cafés. All the signage styles was also quite 'Parisian'.

Huomasin sormeni melkein tuhonneen tämän kuvan muttei onneksi ihan.. :)

//My damn finger almost destroyed this pic but not entirely.. :)

Tykästyin tähän tyylikkääseen Manolo - nimiseen myymälään sivistyneellä näyteikkunalla. Tämä 'vähän kaiken kuvaamisen' tapa on varmaankin jäännyt muhun opiskeluajoista elämään - kaikkea täytyy kuvata ja vähän enemmän, tykkään laittaa merkille yksityiskohtia, katsella ympärilleni ja selvittää, mikä juuri siitä ko. paikasta tekee erityisen ja erilaisen.

//This shop was called Manolo. Really liked the window displays and sophisticated clothing. Sometimes I like to take pictures of all kinds of stuff, I think the habit has gotten into me whilst studying fashion.. :) I also like to observe and spot stuff when I'm traveling, I think that is the very essence of it all. To observe, remember and look around at all stuff that makes that particular place different.

//Whilst we tried to figure out how to get out of the parking hall (in Spain the system is a bit different sometimes..) I spotted this cool little photography studio on the edge of a street. Such a nice creative studio - spotted a similar image in Paris last year, in this post. (can't believe that is also soon a year ago, time flies..!)

Huomaa  pienoinen vahtitorni tuolla kukkulan päällä!
//Observe the little 'watching' tower up on the hill!

Round trippimme päättyi tähän linnake-visiittiin kylässä hieman eteenpäin Alcoysta (nyt en muista paikan nimeä, mutta on todella suosittu ja iso linnake, turisteja käy sankoin joukoin vuoden ympäri).

//We ended the round trip to the fortress a bit further from Alcoy (unfortunately I don't exactly remember the name of this town). Anyway, this particular fortress is massive and highly visited by tourists all year around.

Medieval costumes!

Ja takaisin koti-konnuilla seuraavana iltana kävimme ulkona syömässä uudessa ranskalaisessa ravintolassa Torreviejan keskustan kupeessa (Le France). Tykättiin kaikki miljööstä, tosi ranskalainen ja romanttinenkin tunnelma (treffipaikaksi suosittelen lämpimästi!)

//Back in Torrevieja not the same night but the night upon, we headed for a newly opened French restaurant in town (Le France). Very cosy and very French :)

Ruoka oli myöskin todella makoisaa, toki otin alkuruoaksi super ranskalaisen sipulikeiton patongilla upotettuna, siskoni söi friteerattua vuohenjuustosalaattia, joka näytti ja maistuikin hyvältä.

//Of course, I had the onion soup for starters, and my sister had some kind of fried goats cheese sallad, which looked & was delicious too.

//The beef of the main course was excellent!
That was all the images from my camera memory card (since this is a familiar place for me to travel to, I don't take that much pictures anymore, it is more important for me to relax and enjoy the moment). Next up is posts from an blogger event I went to this weekend and perhaps some hair inspo from Halloween, so stay tuned :)
